SUZANNE BELL of the Everyman & Playhouse’s literary team; Chris Bridgman, North West Playwrights; Jo Coombes, new writing development manager for BBC writers room North; and Liverpool writer Laurence Wilson will take part in a panel-event discussing the role of the playwright.

TEN Tall Tower Tales is a rehearsed reading of 10 stories from 10 storeys, each five minutes long and set in an apartment block. It takes place at 8pm on April 19.

COMPERED by Liverpool actor Paul Duckworth, Monologueslam will give around 20 performers the chance to present monologues of their own choice in front of an audience and a panel of judges including actress Pauline Daniels, Daily Post Arts Editor Laura Davis and Jo Jones, executive director of Liverpool-based casting agency Bananafish. It also takes place on April 19.
