MUSICIANS from across the country will be heading to Wirral this weekend for the seventh Folk on the Coast festival.
Acts include singer-songwriter Richard Digance, who has worked with The Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, Chris de Burgh and Robin Williams; Peter Donegan with his late father’s Lonnie Donegan Band; Teeside’s Vin Garbutt; dance troupe The Mersey Morris Men; local group The Tom Topping Band, former Spinner Hughie Jones, Lancashire-based Niamh Boadle, shanty singers Kimber’s Men and Bernie Davis.
Run by the organisers of The Hungry Horse Acoustic Folk in Ellesmere Port, Wirral Folk on the Coast takes place from June 23-26 at the OC Knockaloe Sports & Social Club, Bromborough, which has spaces for tents and caravans.
