Tracey Emin donates anonymous work to Cornerstone Gallery’s Pre-paid 2011 exhibition

RECKON you have what it takes to spot a Tracey Emin from a stack of 75 unlabelled art works?

What about a Mike McCartney or a Martin Greenland?

The Cornerstone Gallery is asking bidders at its Pre-paid 2011 exhibition to do just that.

A mixture of well-known names and Liverpool celebrities have each created a work on a postcard to be auctioned off next month for the charities Globe Hope and The Artists’ Benevolent Fund.

As well as Emin, McCartney and Greenland, who won the John Moores Painting Prize in 2006, contributors include Everton FC manager David Moyes, Liverpool-based artist Elizabeth Willow, John Moores Prize 2010 finalist Jason Thompson, Jerwood Drawing Prize 2011 nominee Arthur Roberts, FACT director Mike Stubbs, The Bluecoat’s artistic director Bryan Biggs, Printmaking Today editor Anne Desmet and ex-Brookside actor Dean Sullivan.
