TONY MAUDSLEY is the latest actor to be celebrated by the Clapperboard Presents series of events.
The Liverpool actor will take part in a Q&A session at FACT’s Picturehouse cinema after a screening of the 1998 film A Life for a Life.
Written by Peter Berry and directed by Stephen Whittaker (Hearts and Minds, Portrait of a Marriage, What if it’s Raining), it tells the story of one of the most tragic miscarriages of justice in British legal history.
Flat-footed, boggle-eyed and with an abnormally low sex drive but newly awakened by medication, 23-year-old Stefan Kiszko (Maudsley) was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1976 for the murder of 11-year-old Lesley Molseed.
This was despite the availability of forensic evidence that would have proved his innocence.
Tickets for the event on December 12 cost £11 (£8 concs) from 0871 902 5737.Funds raised from the event will go to the Clapperboard Youth Project.
