FORMER Icicle Works frontman Ian McNabb is returning to Liverpool this weekend for a triple bill of concerts.

The first two will take place tomorrow and Saturday at the Capstone Theatre, on the site of his old school.

They will consist of 25 songs each night, with no two songs performed twice. McNabb will be digging deep into his back catalogue to unearth some Icicle Works classics, in addition to freshly minted gems and songs from his extensive back catalogue presented in both electric and acoustic arrangements.

Then, an aftershow billed as Ian McNabb and Friends Christmas Show will take place at Eric’s, on Mathew Street, following Saturday’s gig.

Entry will be free to ticket holders from the Friday and Saturday theatre shows, or £5 on the door.

McNabb says: “The annual Christmas show is always a big thrill for me to do, but this year is extra special as the venue is on the site of my old school, which will bring back quite a few memories.

“They should be really special as I’ve dug deep into the archives to find some stuff that I haven’t played for a long time, if ever.”
