Art of the Titanic at heart of exhibition
Ted, who lives in north Liverpool, said: “Seeing so much of my work hung together for the first time makes me realise the years of work that has gone into it all.
“But it is very satisfying to think this is all the fruits of my labour. No wonder my arm feels like it’s going to drop off.”
Williamson Art Gallery curator Colin Simpson said: “Ted takes great pride in being regarded as a maritime expert.
“He is noted for his authenticity and attention to detail in all his regard to each work he undertakes.
“Ted’s are acknowledged by both naval and maritime experts as importantly significant historical documents as well as outstanding works of beauty in their own right.”
RMS Titanic and Other Voyages by Edward D Walker is on display until May 20 at Williamson Art Gallery, Slatey Road, Birkenhead.
The gallery is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am-5pm.
