LISTINGS: What’s on at the Biennial this week, November 8-14, 2012

THE Liverpool Biennial is a 10-week festival of contemporary art, currently taking place at locations across the city centre. These are some of this week’s highlights:

HOST, work by the Soup Collective, a group of artists with connections to Tate Liverpool, continues in the gallery’s group reception room as part of the Independents Biennial, ends November 14.

THE Bluecoat’s symposium, Reconstruction Work, considers ideas of solidarity based on the work of thinker and writer Stuart Hall. Participants include artist John Akomfrah, whose film installation is currently at The Bluecoat; David Scott, editor of Caribbean critical journal Small Axe Angela McRobbie, professor of communications at Goldsmiths and Mark Sealey, director of photographic charity Autograph ABP. Saturday, 2-5pm.

DIRECTOR Matt Wolf presents the UK premiere of two films – the 24-minute I Remember and Teenage (also as part of Homotopia). Wednesday November 14, FACT.
