VICTORIA FOSTER’S sensational bird-themed exhibition ends at the Bluecoat this weekend.
Foster’s intricate illustrations combine repetition, layering, collage and abstraction.

SCREENADELICA is a Liverpool-based, worldwide reknowned music poster exhibition that pops up wherever good music and good art is to be found.
Over the next few days, the man behind it, Gary McGarvey pops up in FACT to show people how to design their own prints while exhibiting his own unique art.
DIY screen-printing beds will be on hand to allow people to have a go while Liverpool-based artists William Daw, Russ Reid (Wasted Heroes) and Ashley Hopkins (Payper Tiger) are on hand to help out.
On Saturday March 2, print workshops will be in full flow for kids and adults alike plus there’s music and a pop-up shop.

THE stage that launched Take That’s Gary Barlow - St Anne’s Pastorial Centre in Ormskirk sees another young crop of hopefuls take their first steps in the industry.
St Anne’s fourth band night sees five local bands Fallen, The GunRunners, Multiarcade, Hunted By Owls and Lemon Flavoured Laces offer new material in this popular series of under-18s live music night.
Southport’s Lemon Flavoured Laces are in the middle of producing their debut EP while West Lancs’ Gunrunners recorded their rock-flavoured EP at Skelmersdale’s music hub The Engine Rooms.

THE Vril Society returns with another rock and roll showcase at the Zanzibar.
Residents, Oxygen Thieves are building on the momentum of their debut VS night bringing lazy sunny surf vibes courtesy of duo Beach Skulls while at the other end of the spectrum The Thespians apply their characteristic blend of aggro-punk and melodic pop danger.
Oxygen Thieves also take to the stage as the Zanzibar looks set for another night of guitar-infused R&R.
Everisland’s Moonlight Gathering at the Kazimier - Saturday March 2, 8pm-2am, £5
LIVERPOOL collective everisland specialise in mixing arts happenings with happening music.
They’re really, really good at it. And on Saturday they’re back with their latest noir themed event - a moonlight gathering in the apt octagonal setting of the Kazimier.
Elsewhere Mother Earth add angular rhythmic throbs, Kazimier Krunk Band bring the in-house carnival madness, King Twit deliver wonky rowdy knees-up folk pop and there’s creature projections and set designs by Mr Wolf and Jessica Doyle.
How good is that? Very.
