One of the film’s lead actors, Manchester-born Liam Bell, said: “It could have been done in Leicester Square, but it wouldn’t have been right at all.”
Actor Sean Ward added: “There’s not been a film set around this scene, it’s always Milwall or Chelsea – and not only that, it’s all about the clothes, the music, warmth and romance.”
Other famous faces at the premiere included Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent (Sophie), Hollyoaks’ Kent Riley (Zak) and Soundcity head Dave Pilichingi.
