Biopic of Beatle John Lennon's early Liverpool life in running for four Baftas

NOWHERE Boy is in the running for for four Baftas.

The biopic of John Lennon’s early life is in line for Outstanding British Film.

Anne-Marie Duff, who played Lennon’s mother Julia, and Kristin Scott Thomas, who played his aunt Mimi, were both nominated.

They will contest the Orange British Academy Film Awards’ best supporting actress category.

Sam Taylor-Wood, 42, who is expecting a baby with the film’s star, Aaron Johnson, was nominated for her directorial debut.

She fell in love with Johnson during filming.
