AMBITIOUS New York politician David Norris (Matt Damon) has overcome tragedy in his personal life to lead the charge for the US Senate and the White House, aided by campaign manager Charlie Traynor (Michael Kelly).
On the eve of an important speech, David meets gifted dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt) and the spark of attraction is palpable. This chance encounter proves a turning point in David’s potentially glittering future, leading to a startling revelation: he is not the master of his destiny. Well-suited gents in hats, including agents Richardson (John Slattery) and Harry (Anthony Mackie), who look like they have stepped off the set of Mad Men, are silently working behind the scenes, ensuring every human keeps to a path that has been designed for them. Unfortunately, every once in a while, blind chance causes a blip, and, for David, that blip was meeting Elise.

HALL PASS (15)
MAGGIE (Jenna Fischer) and Grace (Christina Applegate) are sick and tired of their husbands Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) ogling other women.
So, at the suggestion of friend Dr Lucy (Joy Behar), the women grant their spouses “hall passes” for one week, allowing the men to flirt and have sex with any woman they choose, without any repercussions. Rick and Fred hit the town with pals Gary (Stephen Merchant), Hog Head (Larry Joe Campbell) and Flats (JB Smoove) in tow, promising seven days of carnal pleasure. Meanwhile, Maggie and Grace leave town with the children and babysitter Paige (Alexandra Daddario), and find some pleasing distractions of their own: namely college baseball coach Rick (Bruce Thomas) and big-hitting protege, Gerry (Tyler Hoechlin). Hall Pass is a battle of the sexes that takes an off-kilter premise as the starting point for half-hearted soul-searching and vulgarity.
