HALF the allure of Oscar night is feasting your eyes on the dazzling designer frocks the A-listers shimmy down the red carpet wearing. OK, more than half, if we’re honest.
So much so, in fact, the organisers are apparently trying to get some stars to sneak in by the Kodak Theatre’s back entrance, so we have to watch the awards to get a good look at them.

Fortunately, we have Liverpool-based couturier Philip Armstrong, who dresses the North West’s own glitterati, on hand to give us a taste of proper old-style Hollywood glamour.
