Dorothy Perkins is cooler than ever

As Dorothy Perkins opens the doors to a much-expanded Liverpool store, Emma Pinch gets a sneak preview of the latest fashion forward looks

LIVERPOOL has its best foot forward these days when it comes to shopping. Top brands are choosing the city to unleash their biggest, hippest new stores.

First there was Topshop, opening its second biggest shop here in the country, and now we’ve got the all-new Dorothy Perkins, bigger – at 10,000sq ft, it’s one of their largest five stores – and a lot more hip than we remember her.

The revamped Dorothy Perkins and Burton reopened on Church Street last Thursday.

Its new incarnation blasted off with Hollyoaks actors Stephen Uppal (Ravi) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Steph) striding down the catwalk in some of the new season’s sharpest numbers.

In her new roomy, classy home at the heart of Liverpool One, Dottie P boasts the whole range of tall, maternity and petite ranges, and has noticeably been sharpening up its act trendwise, with some strong lines in bodycon dresses, bold sequins and 80s shapes.

Its bags and shoes are more fashion forward than previous lines, too, with its new up-market Luxe range of footwear and gorgeous oversized clutches.

If you’re not sure what looks good, Liverpool’s Dorothy Perkins now offers its own style advisor, Debbie Kershaw.

All the clothes featured are in the shop’s new Christmas range, in now and in the coming weeks.
