OOH X Factor. What is going on with the show this year? If it’s not accusations of diva behaviour from the contestants backstage (where have we heard that one before?), it’s the judges laying into each other on stage.

This week it was all about “fag-ash gate” after Gary Barlow let his gentleman guise slip and made that comment to Tulisa.

Tulisa gave as good as she got and I know Gary apologised afterwards but it is safe to say that things have reached a new low in this series and I’m not just talking about the ratings.

Sadly, in among this childish panto, I fear the real point of this year’s show is in danger of being lost.

And that is to marvel at just how beautiful Nicole Scherzinger is.

Because, whether you have any interest in her particular brand of saccharine sweet pop or not, there is no getting away from the fact she is one of the hottest women on the planet.

She is also, going by her behaviour on X Factor – her Marilyn-esque Happy Birthday serenade for Rylan, creating her own vocabulary (“Jah-mazing!”) or talking about the size of contestant’s nether regions – occasionally mad as a box of frogs.

Better than being boring though and the girl sure knows how to dress.

Ever since Sharon Osbourne was replaced by Dannii Minogue, the female judges’ fashion-off has been as much a part of the show as the sob stories and I think it is safe to say Nicole is trouncing Tulisa.
