Dan Kay picks some of the best new Post Flickr group pictures

WE'RE looking forward to another great year of Flickr photographs and our contributors certainly showed they knew how to see out 2012 with a bang.

Eddie Evans' New Year cheer captures perfectly the clink of glasses that will have ringing in some people's ears since the Christmas party season began in mid-December.

Anthony Beyga's unusual shot of a decorated cork provides a jolly take on another sound that will have been a familiar companion to the recent festivities.

J Mahon's The Hangover meanwhile sums up brilliantly what many will be feeling as December turned into January with all those long-put-off resolutions now crowding starkly into view.

Ah well not long till Easter!
