A BRIDE-TO-BE who helped found AFC Liverpool died after walking out in front of a bus, an inquest heard.
Michelle Williams, 27, who worked as a medical clerk at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral, died on Dale Street, Liverpool, on the evening of October 1.
The court heard evidence from collision investigator Phillip Bowden who examined CCTV and said Michelle had attempted to cross Dale Street quickly, 160ft from a pedestrian crossing.
He said Michelle crossed lane one and waited five seconds as the traffic lights changed to amber.
A single-decker bus came to a halt at the red light in lane two and Michelle crossed behind it in front of a slow moving double- decker bus.
He said: “She continued to walk into lane three and appeared to look in the opposite direction to an approaching bus.”
Michelle was hit by the front side of the slow travelling single- decker bus and dragged about 10ft along the road.
