I THINK this column has said the same thing about Everton for about the last eight weeks – and that’s a good thing.
It means they’re carrying on their good form, chipping away and getting the results.
And it’s a mark of their progress that we’re in the middle of April and the season is still very much alive with plenty to play for.
That just makes every game and every goal so much better and you could tell by the way Goodison was buzzing on Sunday after James McFadden’s late goal that it’s a good place to be at the moment.
In fact, when players are coming back from injury in that type of form and the manager’s substitutions pay off so spectacularly you do get a feeling that things are going your way and that should carry Everton through to a European place by the end of the season.
So all Everton fans should be feeling very happy – expect, of course, the ones who booed David Moyes after the Tottenham game (which is still their only Premiership defeat since New Year’s Day by the way).
All they should feel is a deep embarrassment.
Champions League final should go to Wembley >>>
