YOSSI BENAYOUN may have only been at Liverpool less than a week but already the Israeli international is convinced he’s made the right move.
The 27-year-old, who made his first appearance in a red shirt in the friendly against Werder Bremen on Tuesday, has been impressed with his new team-mates.
And Benayoun is convinced he will become a better player from training regularly alongside the likes of Steven Gerrard and fellow new arrival Fernando Torres.
“Playing with some of the best players in the world will of course help improve my game,” said the Israeli captain.
“When you play and train with them it is hard but you are going to become a better player.”
Of making his bow for Liverpool following his move from West Ham United, Benayoun added: “I was of course very happy to make my debut. It’s a dream come true to play for Liverpool.
“I felt a little bit tired at the beginning but that is expected at this stage. I have only been training for four or five days, so I felt a little bit heavy out there. I just tried to do my best and I know I will improve with games. Everyone is helping me settle in and I already feel at home here.”
