The backlog caused by the recent postal strike has forced Liverpool to reiterate a statement urging fans living in post codes L1 to L40 to collect pre-booked tickets for Wednesday night's Carling Cup clash against Cardiff City from the ticket office.
The statement reads: "Due to the prolonged postal dispute and the backlog of mail at Copperas Hill, we politely ask those supporters with a post code of L1 to L40, who are enrolled in the Auto Cup scheme or have purchased tickets for the Carling Cup match on October 31 via the official Liverpool website or credit card line, to collect their ticket from the ticket office.
"The tickets are available now for collection and supporters should bring name and address ID when collecting.
"We strongly advise that these tickets are collected prior to the night of the match due to the large number of tickets involved.”
