XABI ALONSO is being linked with a move to Spurs.

The Spanish international, who has been told to raise his game by Rafa Benitez, is said to be concerned that chances in Liverpool’s midfield are now limited.

Web reports claim Rafael Benitez is prepared to listen to offers for the former Real Sociedad star, and it has been suggested that the player could link up with another Spaniard in the shape of Juande Ramos next season.

Ramos could pay up to £14million for Alonso, say the reports.

LIVERPOOL are said to be looking at Finnish starlet Simon Skrabb.

According to internet reports, Liverpool have invited the 13-year-old for a trial at Anfield after recommendation from the Merseyside club’s Finnish scout Tor Sparv.

The teenage attacking midfielder, who had earlier had a trial in August, is among one of the best prospects in Finland.

Skrabb's club, Jaro have reportedly permitted him to travel to Liverpool as the Reds could possibly sign him.

LIVERPOOL’S deal for Javier Mascherano will be paid to the player’s ‘owner’ MSI in four chunks, it is claimed.

The midfielder is expected to sign up at Anfield within days - he’s currently on loan at the club - and web reports say the fee will be paid in four parts.
