Liverpool's Daniel Agger ruled out for season
Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is unlikely to play again this season, manager Rafael Benitez confirmed today.
The Denmark international, 23, will undergo surgery on his troublesome metatarsal injury early next week.
“It’s a blow for Daniel but we want to get his problem sorted,” said Benitez on the club’s official website, www.liverpoolfc.tv.
“We have defensive cover and Martin Skrtel is playing very well. Daniel will be back for next season.”
