AS we approach the game with our rivals from the other end of the M62 this weekend, I am sure we are all thinking it may just be a rehearsal for the Champions League final in Moscow.
Kept apart in the draw that took place last week, I wonder would Moscow be able to handle what would be the grudge match of the century?
There seemed to be some potential shenanigans involving the draw too with the quarter-final line-up being posted on the internet a full 90 minutes before the draw took place?
Lucky guess? Hope so. Rumours that the guy who did the draw was a member of the Russian magic circle proved false.
In spite of the fact that in the two earlier rehearsal draws, Man United were drawn away to A Bunch of Flowers and Chelsea were at home to a Slightly Squashed Dove. Third time proved a charm and we got Arsenal and United got their bye – sorry Roma – into the semis. Now we face each other again at Old Trafford and Fergie's been doing his best to ensure that the area around Ronaldo is a no-opponent zone.
Obviously to ensure he manages to keep his United goal tally up and stop rival teams from having the cheek of actually trying to stop him.
It will be interesting to see just what sort of genteel reception Fernando Torres gets from United's defenders.
I take Liverpool to grab at least a point and to be ready and waiting for Man U to turn up in Moscow in May.
