George Gillett to attend Liverpool v Arsenal game, Tom Hicks goes home

GEORGE GILLETT will attend Liverpool's Champions League clash with Arsenal at Anfield having arrived on Merseyside yesterday.

The Colorado-based businessman has been accompanied by son Foster on his trip and the duo will watch tonight's game from the Directors Box.

Gillett will not be joined by co-owner Tom Hicks though as he returned to Dallas for the opening of the baseball season following Liverpool's league meeting with the Gunners at The Emirates on Saturday.

Hicks will be represented at the game by his son Tommy junior, like Foster Gillett an Anfield director.

In the hours leading up to the match Gillett was due to hold meetings with senior staff at Anfield, including one with commercial director Ian Ayre at his Old Hall Street offices.
