I was cause of Gerrard feud claims "ex-girlfriend"

A FORMER girlfriend of Steven Gerrard has claimed she was at the centre of a feud that led to threats that the football star would be shot.
In a newspaper interview, Lauren Ashcroft, 22, says she was the reason gangster George Bromley Jnr terrorised the Huyton-born midfielder for two years.
In her interview with the newspaper, hospital worker Miss Ashcroft says after her relationship ended with Gerrard in 2001, she briefly started seeing Bromley.
But the gangster apparently became jealous about Gerrard’s friendship with the teenager.
