Liverpool FC ace Steven Gerrard portrait up for auction for Lupus UK

A LIMITED edition portrait of Steven Gerrard has gone up for auction to raise money for charity.

The England and Liverpool FC star has signed the acrylic canvas in support of Lupus UK.

LFC football scout John Hibbs is auctioning the picture as part of his sponsorship to run next year’s London Marathon.

A former Crewe footballer, John, 31, had to give up on his dreams of becoming a professional footballer with the onset of arthritis.

But he now plans to overcome his condition and complete the marathon in support of his sister, who suffers with Lupus.

He said: "My sister was diagnosed with Lupus 18 months ago. It shows many symptoms from tiredness to pains, as the body’s immune system attacks itself.
