Few players who've left Anfield in recent times such as Morientes and Pellegrino can complain that they haven't been given the chance to prove they can perform.

THE much-needed 'Reclaim the Kop' campaign made an inauspicious start at the weekend.

The published Kop Charter seems reasonable enough, although the apparent obsession with dodgy headgear doesn't strike me as the most pressing of issues facing our beloved institution.

The extent of the challenge facing this worthy cause was more than illustrated by the torpor which one again engulfed the famous terrace until we scored on New Year's Day.

We're in danger of becoming 'big match' players.

We wouldn't accept it from the team, so let's apply similar standards to ourselves.
