Liver Bird joins in the hunt for a very special silver Easter egg
COULD it be the patter of tiny feet for the Liver Birds?
It appeared the city’s icons might have been expecting a junior as a giant silver egg appeared yesterday next to one of the birds.
Or were they getting in on the act in anticipation of the first Great Royal Liver Easter Egg Hunt, which takes place over the weekend?
The free treasure hunt will lead a trail of 10 cryptic clues all over the city over Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
On successful completion, all participants will be eligible for a chance to win an exclusive silver egg, worth £1,000, courtesy of jewellery designer David M Robinson, and a VIP lunch at city restaurant Panoramic.
Runners-up will have the chance to win family tickets to some of the biggest shows during Capital of Culture year, including Evita at the Empire and Skating on Ice at the Echo Arena.
Phil Redmond, creative director of Liverpool Culture Company, said: “I’m absolutely delighted that two of Liverpool’s most well-known companies have come together to support the Heritage Hunt as not only does it demonstrate what we can do together to make 2008 as accessible as possible, but also that culture can be fun.”
