Superlambanana, in all its guises, fires our Flickr contributors’ imaginations

THE explosion of Superlambanana clones hitting the streets of Liverpool has fired the imagination of many Daily Post readers.

This selection is a mere taster of the legions posted on the online 08 gallery.

The bizarre and creative designs that greet you at almost every turn in Liverpool have provided their own colourful contribution. Simple snaps tell their own tale as the subject matter is exceptional enough.

However, other photographers have really focused on the landscape these otherworldly creatures find themselves in – as in Tess UK’s Leonardo Da Vinci lambanana dwarfed by the tower blocks around it.

However, it has not just been the mutant hybrids that have caught the eye in recent weeks.

The Culture events this month have really taken off.

Streets Ahead led to scores of colourful and busy compositions being contributed.

Hobgrumble makes another appearance in the paper. The Wirral Whip ice cream van and cloudless blue sky filled with kites is somehow a nostalgic throwback, despite being taken just days ago.
