TEXAN megastar Meat Loaf rocked the Liverpool Echo Arena last night.
The 60-year-old performed his latest tour, Casa De Carne – translated as House of Meat – in the latest offering of the Summer Pops.
No stranger to the Pops, he closed the 2006 string of concerts and returns this year along with Mick Hucknall, Deacon Blue, Diana Ross and Michael Bublé among others.
Last night was his first anticipated concert in the city after he announced his shock retirement last year.
But the rocker quickly retracted his words after he discovered he was suffering from a cyst on his vocal cord.
Meat Loaf has sold 70m records, and his performance last night proved the big man still had what it takes to rock an audience.
