FILM: Stars come out for film's city premiere

LIVERPOOL actress Jennifer Ellison was among the stars at the Liverpool Odeon last night for a special VIP showing of her new film, The Cottage.
Also on the red carpet were co-stars Andy Serkis (from Lord of the Rings), the League of Gentlemen’s Reece Shearsmith and director Paul Andrew Williams.
The comedy-horror features former Brookside star Ellison as a feisty kidnap victim with Serkis and Shearsmith as her two bungling kidnappers.
It is the first starring role for Ellison, who was previously in the film version of the musical The Phantom of the Opera.
Director Williams, whose first film London to Brighton, a gritty thriller, was widely acclaimed, also wrote the script for The Cottage, which will have its national release next month.
