Bryan Adams to play Liverpool Arena

Canadian rock star Bryan Adams performing at the Summer Pops

THE GROOVER from Vancouver Bryan Adams is returning to Liverpool this autumn.

The record-breaking chart topper will get the city rocking at the Echo Arena on October 28.

Canadian rocker Adams held the Number One slot for 16 weeks in 1991 with Everything I Do – still the longest stint at the top of the charts.

He is no stranger to Liverpool, having played several sell-out shows at the Summer Pops.

The 48-year-old has an exhausting list of albums and singles, from rock numbers to ballads and his previous concerts have had everyone on their feet singing and dancing along to his back catalogue.

Fans can expect a sell out crowd, sing-a-longs, guitar switching and a long set.

Adams began his career almost 30 years ago, but hit the big time with his third album, Cuts Like a Knife.

Massive hits in the 80s included Run to You and rock anthem Summer of 69. He also enjoyed great success with his duet with Liverpool’s very own Mel C, Baby When You’re Gone.

His pop career saw him awarded the Order Of Canada – the equivalent of the MBE.
