THEATRE: Samuel Beckett’s curious play Endgame gets a new production from the Everyman company with Matthew Kelly, above, and his son Matthew Rixon in a remarkable double act as Hamm and Clov, a sort of Steptoe and Son relationship with chair-bound Hamm nagging away at the servile Clov, who is unable to sit down. What’s it all about? You decide. Tonight, 7.45pm, Liverpool Everyman. Tickets £12. Until May 3. 0151 709 4776.
EXHIBITION: Art In the Age of Steam, created for Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture Year, is an enjoyable journey into the world of artists and steam trains. Artists include Frith, Monet, Manet, Pissaro and Hopper, among many others. Today, 10am-5pm, Walker Art Gallery. Free. Until August 10. 0151 478 4199.
FRINGE: The Three Little Pigs may have been a tale for children, but this version from Mishimous is X-rated, suitable only for 16 plus. A sinister and “very naughty” story, with lots of theatrical trickery. Tonight, 7.30pm, Rose Theatre, Edge Hill University, St Helens Road, Ormskirk. Tickets £8 (concs £6). 01695 584480.
