The giant TV screen which towers over Clayton Square

TWO opera productions from Covent Garden are to be screened live in Clayton Square in Liverpool next month as part of the Capital of Culture celebrations.

Verdi’s epic Don Carlo will be on Thursday, July 3, at 6.30pm, while Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro will be on Wednesday, July 16, at 7.30pm.

The Royal Opera House has screened performances in the Covent Garden Piazza in London since 1987. More information from www.roh.org.uk/ bpbigscreens
