Legendary compere to host Finn’s Hotel

VINNY FINN, a legendary compere from the clubs of the 1970s, is hosting a folk and blues night at "Finn’s Hotel" at the Old Police Station on Lark Lane, Aigburth, Liverpool, on August 9.

The line-up, presented by Celtic Bazaar, includes Frank Keenan, an Orkney-based singer/songwriter; Dermot Rooney, a bottleneck blues guitarist from Belfast and Rose Devine, blues and gospel singer; Blue C (Raphael Callaghan and Christine Purnell), the Liverpool blues duo; and the houseband, Red Cow Junction. The night starts at 8pm – £7 pay on the door (£5 concessions).

It is supported by Liverpool 08 and the St Michael’s and Lark Lane Community Association.

Folk/blues fans will remember Vinny from the Club 800 in Birkenhead and other venues.

The following day, August 10, between 1pm and 4pm, Raphael and Christine are presenting Blues on the Rock at Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton. Special guests in- clude Fort 4. Admission is £3.
