TONIGHT sees something new at the Bluecoat, as it reinvents its welcoming space the Hub into “an ideal after-work hang out”.
Drop in after work or before your night out, and you could happen upon quizzes, comedy, acoustic music, book groups, performances, poetry readings, artist film presentations, craft workshops, live art and more.
“The idea is that Hubbub will take on a life of its own, and do its own thing,” says the Bluecoat.
More soft furnishings have been put into place and the space is ready to be animated by cultural groups and creative individuals putting on free events from 6-8pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
The first Hubbub night, tonight, will see Bootworks Theatre Collective and their their one person audit-orium, The Black Box.
Tomorrow there is an artist talk from Tarek Zaki, currently displayed at Bluecoat.
Then on Friday, Seal Cub Clubbing Club and The Laze will be playing absolutely free.
