COMEDY Central, the success- ful weekend comedy club at Baby Blue, in the Albert Dock, is branching out – and this week launches the first of its new Thursday events.
Dave Twentyman will be the first compere for the midweek shows, with laughs from newcomer Rod Shepherd, Phil Buckley, and hometown favourite Chris Cairns.
“Comedy Central is committed to offering the people of Liverpool the best and most comprehensive experience of comedy throughout the week,” said manager Ros Bell. “Our Thursday nights will offer two comedians from our weekend line-up and two newer acts whom we believe have a strong future.
“It's the same high standard of comedy that audiences have come to expect from Comedy Central, at a lower price than the weekend shows.
“Everyone is welcome. If you want the inside scoop on who is up and coming in the comedy world, then Thursdays at Comedy Central is where you need to be.”
Tickets on Thursdays are £8, with food deals available (£16 for a ticket and one course, and £25 two courses).
The next Friday and Saturday shows on September 5 and 6 will see Dave Twentyman, Paul Smith, Andy White and Keith Carter take to the Baby Blue stage.
