A NEW online music community has been set up in the region.
JD-Live! is promoting new talent and giving away the hottest tickets in town.
JD-Live! is a collaboration between JD Sports and clothing and equipment brand Puma.
It will give members access to sold-out gig tickets, VIP upgrades, backstage passes, signed merchandise and up to the minute gen on the hottest new acts.
The scheme is being tested in selected JD Sports stores in the North West from October to December.
It’s free to join by registering at www.jd-live.co.uk or calling at a JD Sports store.
Benefits for JD-Live! members include exclusive access to online content, including music news, band blogs, gig updates, album reviews and fashion features.
There is also early access to the most wanted gig tickets, the chance to win tickets to gigs that have sold out, opportunities to meet bands and weekly competitions.
Bands working with JD-Live! over the next few months include some of the most up and coming names in British music.
Among them are The Filthy Dukes, Kid British, The Rifles, I’m From Barcelona, Imperial Leisure and the Troubadours.
A Puma spokesman said: “We and JD Sports have a long history of grassroots involvement in the UK’s most promising talent.’’
