PSYCHEDELIC half-Icelandic rockers Fields kick off their latest UK tour in Liverpool next week.
They release their new single, Are You Ready Yet? on December 1 through Atlantic Records – the first single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Hollow Mountains, which is set for release in March next year.
After stretching their touring legs at a run of festival performances over the summer and a sold-out one-off London appearance, the band have also announced a warm-up club tour of the UK for November, and stop by Korova on Friday.
Having honed their live show sharing stages with the likes of Bloc Party, Mystery Jets, Editors and Wolfmother, Fields are a live band not to be missed.
Hollow Mountains is the much-anticipated follow-up to the Anglo-Icelandic band’s 2007 debut, Everything Last Winter. Produced by the group’s own Nick Peill and mixed by Chris Zane (Les Savy Fav, The Walkmen), the album’s first single, Are You Ready Yet?, is a fitting testimony to Fields’s anthemic guitar harmony-pop sensibilities.
“The new songs are sounding awesome and we are getting seriously pumped at the prospect of playing them live,” they say.
“So, in essence, be there, it will be great.”
