NICE08 Festival: Eivor from The Faroe Islands _320
MUSIC: “Viking goddess”, Faroese singer Elvor Palsdottir, pictured, plays a special Liverpool concert tonight as part of the Nice 08 Nordic arts and culture festival. Her music is inspired by the ancient tales of the North. Novas Contemporary Urban Centre, Saturday, 8pm, free. 0151 708 3515.
COMEDY: Malawi-born, Canadian-raised and now UK-based comic Daliso Chaponda heads the bill of this week’s Olympia Laughter Lounge. EXHIBITION: A major retrospective of the work of “fifth Beatle” Stuart Sutcliffe runs for the rest of the year, including examples of his studies as a student at Liverpool College of Art, his work as an emerging talent in abstract expressionism, and some personal effects from his time in the city.
