PHOTOGRAPHY: Former Daily Post picture editor Stephen Shakeshaft documented the mood, major events, celebrities and politicians of the city for more than 30 years. In The exhibition, Liverpool People, above, he turns his eye to the real heritage of the city – those who have helped create its identity.National Conservation Centre until January 24.

FILM: Back by popular demand, Terence Davies’s visual poem, Of Time And The City, is being shown in the hall that hosted its Liverpool premiere.
