THEATRE: Direct from the West End comes Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy thriller, The 39 Steps, recreated by Patrick Barlow as the smash hit Olivier Award Winning Best New Comedy. ART: Sound artist Janek Schaefer presents a six-room retrospective plus a new commission created especially for the exhibition. National Portrait uses recordings made from all five terrestrial channels before last week’s switch- off.The Bluecoat until January 17.
