Ness Gardens, January 1976

Looking back

IF you went down to the woods 32 years ago, this is what would have greeted your eyes at Ness Gardens, near Neston, south Wirral.

Back in January, 1976, these woodmen chop up some of the Gardens’ 25 trees lost in gales.

This one narrowly missed wrecking a bed of azaleas in the Spinney when it crashed down.
