Great British character actor, James Robertson Justice, beaming aboard  Cunard’s liner Media in Liverpool on October 30, 1955, before departure to Mexico, via New York, to film The Living Idol, when press calls at Princes Landing Stage were regular events.

Famous as over-bearing consultant Sir Lancelot Spratt in the Doctor film series, JRJ was also a keen naturalist and commissioned to collect wildlife for London Zoo on this trip, but apparently was most worried about the safety of a 2lb box of his favourite snuff
