SUMMER is well and truly over with the first signs of Christmas filtering into Liverpool today.
A special recruitment fair at the Adelphi Hotel is offering more than 500 temporary Christmas vacancies with the city’s leading retail employers, for job hunters across the area.
Shop for Jobs have teamed up with 13 different companies to provide opportunities for local people over the Christmas period. It is a partnership initiative between the People Pool, JobCentrePlus, JET and Connexions, to promote employment opportunities within the retail, leisure and tourism sectors within Liverpool city centre.
Cllr Flo Clucas, executive member for economic development, said “This event is an excellent opportunity for local people to come and speak to prospective employers about the wide range of both permanent and temporary Christmas opportunities available in the city centre”
Companies that are attending the fair include BHS, John Lewis, TK Maxx, Topshop/Topman, TJ Hughes, River Island, WH Smith, Next, Boots, Hard Days Nights Hotel, LUSH, Marks and Spencer and Debenhams.
Anyone interested can call into the Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool between 1pm and 4pm this afternoon where there will be an opportunity to meet employers and collect application forms.
