* EVERTON’S James McFadden once broke a foot playing head tennis.
* THE fictional Roy of the Rovers scored 5,000 first- class goals in four decades – thus beating Everton’s Dixie Dean by well over 4,000.
* LIVERPOOL’S first League game was on September 2, 1893, in Division Two against Middlesbrough Ironopolis (winning 2-0).
* All 10 of their outfield players were Scottish, but the goalie, McOwen, was English.
