DEBBIE Johnson meets two former university flatmates who can't get enough of city life
THE carefree days of being students might be behind them forever, but university pals Joanne Christian and Sara Kamali find that they are still ideal housemates.
The two either shared accommodation or lived next door to each other throughout their student days for three years, and, after a brief break, now rent a two-bedroomed flat in the gracious surroundings of Canning Street.
Joanne, 23, is a paralegal and currently works for a city centre law firm. Her friend Sara, 22, is an account executive with Liverpool-based Fire Management.
Sara says: "I studied geography and archaeology in Liverpool, and loved it, but after my degree finished I moved back home to Buxton, in Derbyshire. It just seemed so quiet after living in Liverpool!
"I bumped into an old pal from Uni and one thing led to another - a vacancy came up at Fire Management, and I came back last May.
"The company does all kinds of things - publicity, product placement, artist management - and has lots of different clients, including music, fashion and health. It's a great job because you get to meet so many interesting people and I can honestly say that no two days are the same."
