Debbie Johnson meets the man who has just moved into his new apartment which has the 'Bold Street factor'
Mark started the website for lovers of Americana and alternative country music six years ago as a project for a masters degree.
He kept it going, and it has since become the most popular site of its kind in the world, according to the amount of visitors it receives. Twenty writers around the country produce gig and album reviews, as well as interviews and competitions.
Mark also has a tradition of putting on gigs in his home of emerging talent from around the country - which was easier when he was living in a house in Mossley Hill.
Living in a small flat in Bold Street, however, is not deterring him: "I've already got one lined up for April," he says.
"I reckon we'll do it unplugged, and I can get about 20 people in here - at least there'll be a good atmosphere!"
