Next week, some of the world's top model scouts will be in Liverpool. Emma Johnson finds out how to catch their eye
IT IS the model agency that discovered the greatest clothes horse of them all - Kate Moss - and now a Liverpool girl or boy could be following in her size six-and-a-half footsteps.
On March 17, scouts from Storm Model Management will be at H&M's Church Street store with a team of top bookers looking to discover new faces of the future.
Storm was founded in 1987 by legendary talent scout Sarah Doukas, who famously spotted the young Ms Moss at JFK airport in 1988.
Sarah is known as the model agent with the "eye" which explains why the likes of Sophie Dahl and Lily Cole are also on the books at its Chelsea offices.
Scouting is top priority for experts Tracie Bestford and Ross Young, the duo who will be present at the Liverpool store next week.
"H&M has always been a great place to scout for potential models," says Tracie. "We have done quite a few events in the last year, in partnership with H&M, and found some amazing new models, including Eve Guymer, who was scouted in the Newcastle store and has now gone on to shoot with legendary photographer Mario Testino.
"Also Bryton (real name Alex Munn), who was scouted instore at H&M Brighton and has shot the Topman Campaign, POP magazine, V Magazine and the Abercrombie & Fitch campaign, to name a few.
"We are very excited to come to Liverpool, as this is the first event we have ever done in this area and we are hoping to find future stars for the agency."
Sarah Doukas, Storm's MD, is also delighted to be coming to the North West and has a few tips for potential models.
