LUCY HANSEN, daughter of ex-Liverpool FC legend Alan Hansen, has been with Storm models for the past year. The 22-year-old talks to Style City about her experiences so far.

How did you get into modelling?

I had thought about it for a while but didn't really know how to get into it so my Mum called Storm and arranged for us to go in and have a chat with Sarah Doukas. Sarah was really helpful and I was signed on the spot.

What sort of jobs have you done?

I have done so many shoots in the last year, including the Charles Worthington Hair Campaign, working for Estee Lauder, Betty Jackson, TopShop, British Vogue, The Telegraph and You Magazine.

Where have you travelled to with your job?

I am actually in Greece now as we speak, doing an editorial shoot. It is such a great industry to get to see the world; I was in Paris earlier in the year and have just got back from New York. I always enjoy coming home to see my family and friends, though.

What has been the best experience so far working as a model?

My best experience was shooting for British Vogue; I was so excited when I was told by the agency. I have always read Vogue since I was a teenager, and couldn't believe I was going to appear in the magazine.

Is the job as glamorous as it seems?

Modelling sounds very glamorous, but it is actual- ly a lot of hard work. Get- ting up early and going to castings all round London is pretty hard, especially in the rain and wind, and you have to turn up to the client all smiley and happy, but I love what I do and I have met so many great people and experienced so many amazing things, it's worth every second!

Which models do you look up to?

I have always thought Kate Moss is so beautiful and I admire her for being in the industry as long as she has. I also admire Lily Cole, who has upheld a great career in modelling while also studying for her A-Levels and now has a place at Cambridge.

What advice would you give to young girls who want to be models?

I think that modelling can be a really fun thing to do, and you must take each day as it comes and just enjoy it.
