Debbie Johnson visits a home at the heart of Liverpool’s nightlife
HELEN RAGHU fell in love with her Tea Factory apartment the minute she saw the lilac walls in the living room.
She says: “I am really girlie, I like a lot of fluff and pink and lilac, and a lot of these flats are dull and cream. I walked in and saw this big bright room with lovely lilac walls and thought this would be the place for me.”
The 23-year-old loves to be at the heart of the city’s action – and, these days, it doesn’t get much more central than Wood Street, in the middle of the bars, clubs and restaurants.
Very much a sociable animal, Helen says the location is “ideal” for her needs.
She says: “I have a lot of friends and live a very active life. Here it is so easy to meet up with your mates, go for dinner and drinks, and not have to worry about taxis home. I also love shopping and stuff like that, so Liverpool city centre is absolutely brilliant for me.”
The fourth-floor apartment is also ideal for socialising. The living area and dining space are open plan, with wooden floors and a glass dining set. There are large black leather sofas and a modern kitchen which Helen uses as much as possible.
